The words "Royal Australian Artillery" are written in raised lettering at the top of the ring and around the gemstone in the centre. On both sides of the ring is the official badge with the crown, cannon etc. also in raised features.

Around the top of the second variation is Airborne Gunners Ubique in raised lettering. On one side is the official artillery badge and on the other side, is the winged parachute.
